PIXNET consortium will utilize – both during the education and thesis phase – three different fabrication facilities available at the European partners’ premise: silicon photonics and device packaging available at the Inphotec Center of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Indium Phosphide technology available at the NanoLab@Technische at Universiteit Eindhoven, femtosecond 3D inscription available at the Institute of Photonic Technologies at Aston University.

The collection of these facilities will allow an exposure of the students to an integrated manufacturing environment. In addition, the added value of Osaka University is that of keeping the contact of the most up-to-date innovation coming from Japanese research community, among the leader in the area of consumer electronics and photonics.
