For each student intake, the PIXNET consortium invites scholars/guest lecturers from EU and Third-Country higher education institutions or research organizations to carry out research and teaching within the PIXNET Masters Course. They may apply for Erasmus+ scholarships.
Visiting scholars must hold an outstanding academic and/or professional profile and their involvement will bring added value to each student intake in terms of student-centered teaching/lecturing, research activities, Master thesis support, academic/professional networking, etc.
The guest lecturers will be recruited in order to strengthen links and support our institutional strategies for internationalisation. The aim is to promote the PIXNET programme around the world, as an opportunity to learn and train photonics in the European area.
Invited scholars may give courses, evaluate exams and advise students or give conferences and act as observer of their host’s education and examination methods. They will provide a report on their activities including the results of their observations, which will feed the reflections of the PIXNET academic board and produce a benchmark of best practices in teaching and research methods.
Scholar/guest lecturers’ mobility is eligible in the following cases:
Invited scholars will be engaged for a minimum period of 1 week up to a maximum of 2 weeks.
The remuneration of scholars/guest lecturers will amount to 2 000 euros per week, covering both travel/installation contribution and working fees.
A scholar/guest lecturer paid by other EU funding schemes (including other Erasmus+ actions) cannot be considered eligible.
